The newly constituted Ad Hoc Committee On Unclaimed Funds in all Commercial Banks and Investigation of Infractions in Central Bank Of Nigeria was inaugurated yesterday by Mr Speaker Rt Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, ably represented by the Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon Wase.
Hon. Ademorin Kuye, a prominent member of the committee while commenting, promised Nigerians a thorough and fair investigation to the benefit of Nigerians.
He cited Sections 88 and 89 of the 1999 constitution as emended which empowers the National Assembly to carry out investigations for the purpose of exposing corrupt practices and improve on the existing laws for the benefit of the system and country.
He enjoined all agencies to ensure full participation and utmost cooperation with the Committee.
