FIRST PHASE: LAWMAKER EQUIPS HUNDREDS OF ARTISANS IN SOMOLU/BARIGA LAGOS

Member representing Somolu Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber, REP. Ademorin Kuye, on Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021, donated work tools to over 300 artisans in Somolu/Bariga axis of Lagos to help cushion the harrowing economic effects, in the 1st phase of 2021 last quarter empowerment programme.

Items donated were as follows: grinding machines, generators and clippers for barbers, hair-dryers for hairdressers, sewing machines for tailors, welding machines for welders, makeup kits for makeup artists and Laptops for selected candidates who underwent training in web and graphics designs.

Speaking after the presentation, Hon. Kuye said: “the gesture was in fulfilment of his pledge to empower and impact his immediate constituency and its environs”.

Also, he made mention of the just concluded registration of all WAEC and NECO candidates in the constituency with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), for the National Identification Number (NIN), preparatory for their examinations. In his words: “This is free of charge and geared towards mitigating the challenges faced by parents last year”.

On the whole, it is in recognition of the imperative of conducive learning environment, public hygiene, health and safety for the pupils and teachers alike, that the MHR further said: “I have facilitated construction of blocks of six classrooms with adjoining befitting toilets and borehole in UNA Primary School Complex and Shepherd Hill High Somolu; and construction of Primary Healthcare Centre, equipped with a standby ambulance with state of the art medical equipment at Adebule Primary School in case of emergency before, during and after school hours”.

With joy inexpressible, constituents were full of praises and gratitude as they rained encomiums, prayers and kind words on the MHR as well as pledged their unalloyed supports for his 2nd term bid come 2023, God willing.
