The All Progressives Congress party faithfuls in Somolu Local Government of Lagos State collectively demand for the conduct of fresh and well coordinated Primary elections.
The APC Primary elections, which was earlier slated for today Saturday May 29, 2021 could not hold in Somolu as the incumbent Chairman and one of the Aspirants, Hon. Abdul Ahmed Salawu hijacked the election materials and officials in his office for more than five (5) hours which led to the cancellation of the election.
Hundreds of party faithfuls were seen at the various wards waiting earnestly for the electoral officers but were seriously disappointed by the stupid act of the incumbent Chairman.
Now all the Apex leaders, members and party LGA executives are demanding for the conduct of fresh Primary elections.
In addition to that, they also request that the State Electoral Committee should endeavor to send a more reliable and trusted party members to the local government as Electoral officers to give room for free and fair conduct.
