Few months ago during plenary at the Green Chamber, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, being a futuristic leader saw the importance of setting up an Adhoc Committee on The Investigation of Use, Status Current State of Federal Government Abandoned Properties and Assets.
He shared the vision with the wonderful Honourable members and they all agreed, they didn’t only buy into the Barrister’s vision, they also saw the future today.
Unfortunately for our nation, Covid-19 pandemic lockdown is hitting very hard on the nation’s economy, all nations, sectors and individuals are now devicing various means of economically bouncing back easily.
Alas, Nigeria being a nation relying so much on the proceeds of Crude oil, the dwindling crude oil price globally par barrel is not favouring the Naty in anyway. The more reason President Muhammad Buhari and his team have been working extremely hard to adjust the 2020 National Budget due to the fall in price of Crude oil globally, this has been done successfully about two times now withing the last three months.
It has become very partinent that we look inward and raise funds to finance the budget to enable the economy remain vibrant and stable.
Today, that unique vision of Mr. Speaker, Rt. Hon. Gbajabiamila when there was no economy downturn is becoming the cornerstone.
No doubt, the appointed Chairman of the newly inaugurated Ad-hoc Committee, Hon. Barr. Ademorin Kuye is just like putting a round peg in a round hole. He is more than capable, he is a very experienced, honest, diligent, smart, intelligent and highly connected humble man.
Hon. Kuye became Chairman, Somolu Local Government, Lagos in 2003/4, he served as Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs under the then governor of Lagos State, Mr. Raji Fashola, who is currently a Minister since 2015.
Hon. Kuye served industriously as the Commissioner, he embarked on several projects which made the 57 Local Government and LCDAs very strong and more independent.
Kuye is a strong and brilliant lawyer whose Law Chamber has served many great individuals and corporate organisations.
Currently, Rep. Ademorin Aliu Kuye is serving as the Honourable Member representing Somolu Federal Constituency, Lagos State at the Green Chamber.
The dream and vision of Mr. Speaker will no doubt yield wonderful results for our nation due to the capable hands handling vital positions. Mr. Speaker, you are a great leader to behold.
